Mr Darin Varbanov graduated in 1991 from the State Musical Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria with a Master of Arts degree, after studying under Professor Anton Hadjiatanasov. He continued to work as a violin teacher at The National School of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria for the next 12 years. Darin Varbanov has comprehensive experience and maintains a broad repertoire as a violinist; both institutions, the State Musical Academy, and the National School of Music, presented him with opportunities to strengthen his professional experience, and have allowed him to perform as a violinist, since 1978, in numerous concerts, solo recitals, chamber music concerts and orchestras in various cities located in Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, England, Singapore, and Thailand. Furthermore, in 1997, he enhanced his experience in chamber music by completing a two year Chamber Music Master Class taught by Professor Maia Patroneva at the State Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria.
When Darin Varbanov worked as a violin teacher for 12 years at The National School of Music “Lubomir Pipkov” in Sofia, Bulgaria, he was in charge of the management of over than one hundred students’ concerts – recitals, orchestra soloists, and chamber music concerts. He also collaborated with Lubomir Baharov in teaching the violin at his Private Violin Studio. There, he had the opportunity to prepare students for competition in a diverse range of contests in Europe, such as “Klassisk Musikkonkurrence” in Copenhagen, Denmark, “Kocian International Violin Competition,” in Czech Republic, and “Young Music Talents,” in Sofia, Bulgaria. His students also participated in The International Music Festival “Varna Summer” in Varna, Bulgaria, and the 1st and 2nd “Orpheus International Music Festival” in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria” in 1993 and 1994 respectively. In Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria’s National Contest for young violinists, Darin Varbanov was a co-organizer from 1993 to 1996
Upon moving to Singapore, Darin Varbanov taught violin classes at Seimpi School of Music from 2003 to 2006. He also began teaching young children at the Queenstown and Alexandra Childcare Centres in June of 2003.
Darin Varbanov is the founder of the current studio, which he registered as a school of music with MOE in November 2008.. He was also an adjunct violin teacher at the School of the Arts in Singapore from January 2008 to May 2013.
Ms. Vera Boyadzhieva started her music education at the State School of Music in Varna, Bulgaria when she was 5. She performed for the first time at the age of 11 and has since participated in multiple solo concerts and competitions. She received a Master’s Degree in violin from the State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. She was taught by a student of the renown Bulgarian violinist Emil Kamilarov, Professor Ginka Gichkova. Subsequently, Vera Boyadzhieva became a freelancer for the New York Harlem Theatre’s orchestra and has spent the past 17 years taking part in performances across Europe and Japan. She has worked in both the Varna Symphony Orchestra and the State Opera in Varna. Vera Boyazhieva also conducted violin lessons privately, and in the High School of Music in Varna, Bulgaria.
When she relocated to Cairo in 2006, Egypt, Ms. Vera worked as an assistant concertmaster at the Cairo Opera Orchestra, while also teaching the violin at the British International School and Modern English School. One of her students won the first prize in the “Jugend Musiziert” Competition in Germany, and she became a very popular violin teacher.
In 2011, Vera Boyadzhieva commenced teaching the violin in Singapore, and in August of 2013, she joined Musical Studio as a violin teacher.
